Driver App Offers Real-Time Info on Refrigerated Loads

Wireless Links has launched the Driver App to compliment the company’s temperature monitoring solution, offering real-time temperature visibility and alerts.

Available for download on Android, the app allows users to control in-transit temperature sensitive deliveries, prevent product spoilage, and gain better cold chain visibility.

Drivers can view real-time and historical temperature recordings for all goods transported. All recordings include row by row breakdowns of temperature, location, date and time. The information can be used to help comply with Food Safety Modernization Act requirements for historical temperature reporting.

Automatic temperature alerts notify the driver in real-time of any temperature deviations to take swift action and prevent spoilage when a need occurs. All alerts include the address, time, vehicle or vehicle compartment and the temperature deviation data.

Drivers can add comments on each alert, giving a dispatcher even further visibility and context on how the alert was generated and handled. This feature can help identify, investigate, and resolve cold chain abnormalities.
