With the spin-off of Daimler Trucks from its former parent Mercedes-Benz this year came a move of historic trucks to a new location and a glimpse into the company's history.

The “New Generation” in 1973 brought a new and clearly structured model range to the previously somewhat unstructured heavy-duty truck offerings.

Daimler Truck transferred the first batch of historical Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles and parts of its truck and bus archive to the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, Germany, at the end of November.
