Alcoa Wheel Products has signed a contract extension with Mack Trucks Inc. This contract extends Alcoa as Mack’s primary supplier of forged aluminum truck wheels in North America.
Alcoa invented the forged aluminum wheel
in 1948 at which time Mack became one of their first customers to place Alcoa wheels on their vehicles.
Tim Myers, Alcoa Wheel Products vice president and general manager for Commercial Vehicle Wheels said, “This contract extension with Mack is a continuance of a relationship that dates back nearly 60 years and we could not be more pleased.”
Alcoa Wheel Products is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and employs more than 3,000 in seven locations globally. The Alcoa business unit manufactures cast and forged aluminum wheels for the heavy truck, automotive, and motorcycle industries, and is a global leader in forged aluminum wheel products.
