Penske Truck Leasing has opened a new facility in Parsippany, N.J., located on 600 Edwards Road. The 16,000-square-foot facility, employing 36 associates, offers commercial and consumer truck rental services,
full-service truck leasing and contract maintenance. About 100 leasing customers are handled at this location, and nearly 600 vehicles are maintained onsite.
Penske moved its truck leasing operations from a site in the Pinebrook section of Montville Township. A smaller, older building on this five-acre site was razed, making way for the new facility on a different portion of the property.
The facility cost approximately $5 million to construct, and has four service bays, a truck washing bay and a two-lane fuel island. The wireless technology component allows Penske service technicians to integrate various vehicle diagnostic and repair software.
