Qualcomm Releases GlobalTRACS Web 2.1

Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, Calif., announced the commercial release of the GlobalTRACS Web 2.1 solution, primarily for the construction industry.

GlobalTRACS enables customers to track maintenance by machine. The system tracks hours of operation, enabling customers to service machines in a timely manner to increase equipment productivity and reduce overall costs.
GlobalTRACS Web 2.1 is a complete equipment management solution, offering ruggedized hardware, network services and data integration. Enhancements include re-designed user interface screens, maintenance module and utilization summaries, cross-street proximity on demand and search capabilities, enhanced mapping features and Mozilla browser support, a software alternative to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, which has recently been criticized for security gaps.
The GlobalTRACS solution collects, manages and transmits equipment operating status and location data, all accessible through the Web-based application or integrated into existing back-end business software systems.
