Truck Sales & Leasing magazine has recognized Goodyear's high-tech truck tire as "terrific" and "one of the best product introductions of 2003."

The Goodyear G395 LHS steer-axle tire for long-haul applications was honored as one of Truck Sales & Leasing's "Terrific 20" of 2003 in the magazine's November/December edition. Winning products are chosen for their innovation, serviceability and performance.
"We are honored to have this new tire recognized as one of the best products in the trucking business, although we are not surprised by its selection. The tire was designed to be a product that its users could rely on, mile after mile," said Dave Beasley, Goodyear's director of sales, commercial tire systems.
The G395 LHS offers uniform treadwear and high retreadability. It has an 18/32-inch tread depth, axle-specific compound, five straight ribs, lateral slots and sipes. Unique to the tire is a lateral traction feature; as the tire wears down, angled grooves are exposed across the barrel-shaped footprint, which distributes pressure evenly to enhance traction and handling.
A pressure distribution groove helps prevent pressure build-up on the outside rib, resulting in less shoulder wear, especially during cornering.
The G395 LHS also has Goodyear's exclusive Enhanced Casing Design, puncture-resistant, four-belt package that runs cool while reducing the risk of cracking and tearing.
Published bi-monthly, Truck Sales & Leasing reaches all major heavy and medium truck dealerships and truck leasing centers nationwide.
