In a recent study conducted by CK Marketing and Communications, a heavy-duty industry research and press relations firm
located in Columbus, Ohio, more than 50% of the fleets surveyed indicated that replacing components with the identical original equipment brand was essential or very important.
However, other mitigating factors included reliability, durability, price, availability and quality of the replacement part purchased.
Respondents cited these as having an important influence on their buying decision.
