the ASP (Application Service Provider) version of the company's flagship Innovative Enterprise Software.
As an ASP, Innovative can make its well-known software available to a wider market that includes small and mid-sized carriers. Innovative's software runs on the IBM AS/400, a hardware platform that many smaller fleets consider beyond their resources. However, through IES Access, those fleets can now use Innovative Enterprise Software. They need no more than a personal computer and an Internet connection.
According to an announcement from Innovative, companies signed up for IES Access are Camrett Dedicated Logistics Inc.; E.J.'s Express Inc.; Faustina Logistics; Panter Brothers; Titan Transfer Inc., Trott Group Inc.; Trott Logistics; Top Express; Top Logistics and Southwest Refrigerated.
Innovative Enterprise Software includes more than 60 modules, among them operations, safety, administration, risk management, fleet maintenance and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Innovative’s ASP version, which offers 18 modules, was called FleetNet when first introduced in 1998.
