Beginning January 1, 2001, a new law affecting the registered weight of two-axle and three-axle trucks will go into effect in the state of Delaware.

According to the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, the new law will restrict two-axle trucks to 36,000 pounds and three-axle trucks to 65,000 pounds. Three-axle farm trucks may continue to be registered at 70,000 pounds for an extra fee of $100, but those trucks may only exceed 65,000 pounds when carrying agricultural products.
