Volvo Building Central Parts Distribution Center in Mississippi

The Volvo Group will build a 1-million-square-foot central parts distribution center in Byhalia, Miss., to support its Mack, Volvo and UD truck brands, as well as the Volvo Construction Equipment brand and Volvo Penta marine business.

These engine parts are from a teardown of an engine using an experimental low-HTHS viscosity oil. A visual inspection shows no noticeable differences in wear between it and the higher-viscosity oil.

Ed Shea, TMC Activist and Retired Publisher, Dies at 91

Ed Shea, a retired publisher of Owner Operator and The Specialist magazines, passed away April 28 after a period of declining health. He was 91. He was a founding member of what is now the Technology & Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Associations.
