Georgia-based transportation company Bennett International has announced the creation of Boss Engineered Logistics, a non-asset based transportation logistics firm.

BEL will offer brokerage of individual freight shipments for trucking, intermodal, rail, and international freight shipping. It will also offer a suite of managed transportation services to complement client’s existing transportation resources.

Managed transportation services include warehouse management, project management, and supply chain services supported by multiple options for transportation management system and warehouse management system platforms. BEL will offer data-driven insights to enable customers to adapt to constantly changing scenarios and improve decision-making.

“We are seeing a rising demand by customers for 3PLs that are non-asset-biased,” said Jim Handoush, BEL president. “Many companies today are challenged with a lack of technology, volume buying power and visibility, and they need flexible options. We are starting the BEL brand to engineer customized solutions that result in the best rates possible, whether it is through Bennett or another vendor.”

BEL joins Bennett’s other business units for domestic and international shipping, trucking, drive-away, and portable buildings, but it will be marketed as a separate brand and operated independently.

“Our goal is to form meaningful partnerships that empower our customers to focus on their core competencies and business objectives without being weighed down and hindered by day-to-day supply chain logistics matters that they do not have the resources to manage optimally,” said Handoush.
