Iowa 80 Truckstop’s 37th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree is set to kick off July 14 with three days of trucking-related events, exhibitions and entertainment.

The event at the well-known trucksop along I-70 in Walcott, Iowa, will feature 150 exhibits, a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display, Iowa pork chop cookout, trucker Olympics, carnival games and free concerts. This year’s Jamboree musical guests include Dani Lynn Howe & Band, Clare Dunn, Sammy Kershaw and the local band North of 40.

Highway Angel spokesperson Lindsay Lawler will also perform on July 16. There will be fireworks displays on Thursday and Friday night, and Friday afternoon attendees can have a piece of cake at the Iowa 80 truck museum to celebrate the 1916 Mack AC truck’s 100th birthday. Ruth Fruehauf, granddaughter of trailer founder August Fruehauf, will be on hand for a book signing.

“The Walcott Truckers Jamboree is about celebrating America’s truckers and the hard work they do while hauling everything we need,” said Delia Moon Meier, Iowa 80 Truckstop owner. “We are proud and honored to serve professional drivers and thankful that we’ve been allowed to do so for the past 52 years.”

The 37th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be held July 14-16, 2016 at Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa. Admission and parking are free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
