TMW Systems’ Appian vehicle routing and scheduling software is being implemented throughout roofing materials distributor Allied Building Products’ 2,800-vehicle delivery fleet, the company announced.

The software is expected to be completely implemented on Allied’s fleet by the end of the year.

The East Rutherford, N.J.-based distributor specializes in residential and commercial roofing materials, siding, windows and other products and has more than 200 locations in the U.S. Allied was looking for a way to enhance its delivery service, which lead to the company to invest in TMW’s product.

Appian routing and scheduling software enables users to improve distribution efficiency and customer service while reducing planning time, overhead and wasted mileage. These solutions are widely used in multi-stop, final mile fleet operations within the building products, food service, medical supply, beverage distribution, restaurant supply, manufacturing, furniture delivery and third-party logistics industries.

“Allied Building Products is a dynamic distribution organization that maintains an intense focus on customer success and satisfaction,” said TMW Systems president David W. Wangler. “We’re very pleased to have earned this opportunity to work with them to achieve the benefits of implementing our Appian technology.”

TMW Systems is a transportation software provider for commercial and private fleets, brokerage and 3PL organizations.
