The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration National Training Center has announced two webinars about the new electronic logging device rule to help fleets comply with the mandate.

The first webinar, FMCSA ELD Rule and Implementation Plan, will discuss topics such as the rule’s major components, implementation phases, ELD technical specifications, harassment provisions and record retention and general requirements of supporting documents defined by the ELD Rule. This webinar is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. PST.

The second webinar is called ELD Phase 1: Transition and Awareness, and will provide attendees with information about the first phase of the ELD Rule Implementation Plan. The presentation will provide guidance on how the ELD rule will be enforced during the initial "Awareness and Transition" phase at the roadside and during investigations. This webinar is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. PST.

To participate in either or both webinars, online registration is required. To register, click here.

Why the limit of participates? I feel this is important information that should be available to more than say 50 people. I tried to register the day I received the notice and it was already closed. Very disappointing considering that companies are required to comply.
