Stemco Duroline has rolled out new shoe kits and brake hardware kits, which are available with the company's new high performance friction material with "Wave Process" technology.

In September, Stemco Duroline announced the launch of its high performance friction material, which provides better stopping, longer life, reduced noise and reduced drum wear, Stemco says.

According to Stemco Duroline, new brake shoes offer several benefits over re-using cores, including providing an excellent foundation for brake balance and the correct tolerances for consistent tables, cams and anchor tolerances. In addition, new brake shoes eliminate the cost of maintaining a "core bank," while also getting rid of the handling costs of cores, costs associated with preparing the shoes for relining and environmental concerns.

Stemco Duroline brake shoes are e-coated and stand up to 1,000 hours of salt spray testing, which is double the OEM specifications for corrosion resistance under environmental conditions. Seam welded and built with a thicker platform, web and base, Stemco Duroline brake shoes can withstand 3,000 pound weld strength testing, Stemco says.
