Meritor has announced the winners of the 2011 Aftermarket Performance System awards, which internally recognize performance in lean implementation in Meritor's global aftermarket facilities.
The winners are:
-Platinum: Parts Distribution Center (PDC), Florence, Ky.
-Gold: North America Reman Operations, Plainfield, Ind.
-Silver: Parts Distribution Center (PDC) of Monterrey, Mexico.
These locations were three out of 18 that were evaluated in five areas of performance: safety, quality, delivery, cost/productivity and people.
"It's an honor to recognize their hard work throughout this year and to present our dedicated employees with these Aftermarket performance awards," says Joe Mejaly, president of aftermarket and trailer.
The winners received crystal statues that signify the successful implementation of lean manufacturing.
