Volvo Trucks has recalled certain model-year 2001 to 2006 VNL and VNM trucks equipped with TRW sealed drag links.
According to reports by the Associated Press, this may include 60,000 trucks.

According to a recall filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a ball socket separation at the drag link could result in complete loss of steering. The problem has resulted in 23 reported crashes and two injuries, the AP reports.

The recall will begin on or before Aug. 15. Dealers will inspect and repair the ball socket or the drag link as required.
