Another Call to Hide CSA Data from Public

A group of brokers and other trucking interests have added to the call for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to remove CSA safety scores from public view. In a September 17 letter, the Alliance for Safe, Efficient and Competitive Truck Transportation and nine other groups asked Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx to draw a curtain over the scores.

FMCSA Installs DataQs Fix

Carriers and drivers can now get a violation removed from their CSA scores if a court has dismissed it. Under a system that went live August 23, carriers and drivers can submit proof of dismissal or a not-guilty finding through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s DataQs portal.
