When a remanufactured part is preferred, it is always preferred to be the remanufactured part from the OE that originally installed the part, typically by a margin of 2:1. While tire replacement shipments increased year over year from 2011-2013, the average cost of replacement tires also saw movement, ranging from $401.27 in 2011, to $425 in 2012 and back down to $423.50 in 2013.
