The Murphy-Hoffman Company truck dealership group has acquired five dealerships formerly operated by R.L. French Corporation in three Midwest states.

The acquired dealerships are located in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Omaha and Lincoln, Neb., and Rock Island, Ill. These locations will bring an additional 200 employees allowing MHC to increase its footprint for sales, service and support within the Midwest.

The five acquired dealerships sell Kenworth trucks, side dump trailers and offer used trucks, parts and service for all makes and models.

"When we introduced ourselves to R. L. French Corporation's employees, we met with many talented and tenured individuals that we are happy to have joining our team,” said Tim Murphy, MHC CEO. “We look forward to servicing customers throughout the expanded MHC network.”

MHC has a network of more than 100 locations across 16 states including 66 heavy- and medium-duty truck dealers and 35 MHC truck leasing locations. MHC features Kenworth, Hino, Ford, Volvo and Isuzu trucks.
