AMS Automotive has appointed Pat Biermann as executive vice president and general manager of the company’s newly established Heavy Duty Group.

Biermann will be responsible for driving further growth of the AMS commercial vehicle clutch business, as well as assisting in the development of the company’s emerging strategic initiatives. Pat joins AMS with over 40 years of world-wide experience in the heavy-duty aftermarket, automotive aftermarket and national fleet industry.

Before joining AMS, Pat was the President of HD America headquartered in Earth City, Mo. He was an initial founder of HDA. Prior to his tenure with HDA, Biermann was director of heavy duty sales at Wagner Electric in St. Louis, Mo.
