Great Dane's Terre Haute, Ind., manufacturing facility celebrated the completion of its 100,000th trailer.
The 17-year-old plant was the site of a ceremony and press conference on Wednesday, Feb. 1, to commemorate the milestone.

The 100,000th trailer to come off the line was a Champion CP freight van built for Celadon Group, a customer of Great Dane since the early 1990s.

Great Dane's 565,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Terre Haute opened in April 1995 with a single production line. A second line was added a few months later to keep up with demand for the dry freight vans built there. Nearly 2,700 trailers were completed during the first year of operation.

Today, Great Dane's Terre Haute plant employs more than 450 people and builds more than 8,000 trailers annually.
