The American Truck Dealers will recognize one new medium-duty and one new heavy-duty truck with awards at its Convention & Exposition next month in Phoenix.


This year's medium-duty truck nominees are:

* Ford F650/F750 Super Duty

* Hino 2012-model 338

* International TerraStar

* Isuzu NPR Eco-Max

* Kenworth T370 4x4

* Peterbilt Model 337 4x4

The heavy-duty truck nominees are:

* International ProStar+ with MaxxForce 13 engine

* Kenworth T700 with PACCAR MX engine

* Peterbilt Model 386 lightweight sleeper-cab tractor

The trucks were judged on innovation, design, driver and owner satisfaction, ease of maintenance and safety by a panel of journalists from leading truck publications in North America. Judging took place earlier this month at the Manheim Auto Auction complex south of Indianapolis. Heavy Duty Trucking Senior Editor Tom Berg heads the judging panel, which also includes: Paul Abelson of Land Line, David Cullen of Fleet Owner, Jim Galligan of Light & Medium Truck, Jim Park of Heavy Duty Trucking, Jack Roberts of Commercial Carrier Journal, and Steve Sturgess of Fleet Equipment.

The winners of the ATD Commercial Truck of the Year will be announced Sunday, April 17, at the Phoenix Convention Center.
