Bekins Honors Four Brand Champions as Drivers of the Year

Bekins Van Lines has recognized four drivers for outstanding customer service and professionalism. The winners of the 2009 Drivers of the Year award are Scott Hostetler, Kurt Kloth, Jordy Jones, and Robert Stanton.

The award is based on professionalism, timeliness, communications, revenue, claims experience, and customer service skills. Each driver must first be recognized as a Bekins Driver of the Month.

"As the most significant point of contact between our Bekins brand and our customer, professionalism, courtesy and a dedication to service are critical components to a driver exceeding our customer expectations," said Greg Hoover, Bekins Van Lines CEO. "To have experienced professionals of this tenure and this level of achievement as ambassadors of the Bekins name is an honor and a privilege for our company. We're grateful for their commitment."

This year's winners:

Scott Hostetler, Granite Bay, CA - Category: Household Goods. With Bekins since 1988, Hostetler has been the recipient of numerous awards including six years of Safety Awards; President's Award for Customer Service Excellence - 2000, 2002, 2006, 2007; Bekins Driver of the Month - 2001, 2002, 2007, 2009.

Kurt Kloth, Wausau, WI - Category: Household Goods. Kloth started out as an Owner-Operator in the Bekins system in 1996. During his 14 year tenure he has been the recipient of the following awards: President's Award for Customer Service Excellence - 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008; Bekins Driver of the Month - 1997, 2002, 2003, 2005

Jordy Jones, Murrieta, CA - Category: Mileage. Jones, along with his co-driver, wife Trudi, joined Bekins in 2008 as a mileage driver. Bringing 10 years of experience with a household goods carrier, the Jones team was a great fit in the Bekins fleet and now hauls all types of freight for Bekins. During his short tenure at Bekins, Jones has been a recipient of the following awards: 2 years of Safety Awards; Bekins Driver of the Month - 2008, 2009.

Robert Stanton, Daytona Beach, FL - Category: High Value Products. A member of the Bekins Van Lines family for 36 years, Stanton began his career hauling both household goods and tradeshow properties. During Stanton's tenure with Bekins he gained experience in various roles beyond driving, working within a Bekins local moving company (agency). Signing on as a direct lease owner-operator for Bekins in January 2009, Stanton assumed a role as liaison between the drivers, Bekins agents, and the corporate office. He has been instrumental in bringing innovative changes within the Bekins fleet. Stanton's awards include: 17 Years of Safety Awards; President's Award for Customer Service Excellence - 1995; Bekins Driver of the Month - 2009

The awards were presented during the 2010 Bekins Convention held September 29 - October 1 in Marco Island, Fla.
