KLLM Transportation Services is beefing up its incentive plan to reward lead drivers, contractors and lease-purchase contractors when they join the company or when they refer another driver who joins the company.
New KLLM lead drivers, contractors and lease-purchase contractors will receive a $1,000 signing bonus when they join the company. Another $1,000 bonus will be paid to any KLLM driver for referring a driver who is later hired.
"We understand that switching jobs is an expense for drivers," said Kirk Blankenship, director of driver resources. "Our sign-on bonuses make it a little easier for them to go through that transition period. We also benefit from offering a lucrative referral bonus, because most good drivers know other good drivers-and those are the ones we want. In fact, it's possible for a new driver to earn up to $2,000 in total bonus payments during the first month they're here, when they sign on with us and also refer a friend who is hired."
New KLLM drivers receive their $1,000 bonus paid out in two payments: half in their first pay period and the remainder at the 30-day mark. For referrals, KLLM drivers will receive their $1,000 referral bonus when the new driver they referred completes his or her first dispatch.
KLLM, based in Jackson, Miss., offers over-the-road, regional and dedicated temperature-controlled services throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
