Bar's Products has moved into a new headquarters in Grand Blanc Township, Mich., just a few miles away from the Holly, Mich., location it called home for nearly 60 years.
After nearly 60 years in the same building, the company, known for chemical brands Bar's Leaks and Rislone, will move to a new location in Grand Blanc Township.

The company held a Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce Partners for Progress event Wednesday to dedicate its new facility at 10386 North Holly Road.

"We had been in our previous location since 1952," said Carrie Mermuys, executive vice president of Bar's Products. "And while we were able to make it work for us for a long time, as our business has grown over the last few years, we just ran out room. Our new building provides the space we need now, plus additional capacity for future expansion."

The move has enabled Bar's Products to create more ergonomic workspaces for its employees. It was also important to employees that the company remain in the Holly area.

"Bar's Products is a Michigan company, and we plan to remain in Michigan," Mermuys said. "We're committed to our long-time employees and our Holly community."

"At the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, we work very hard to help companies reach their expansion and relocation goals," said Tim Herman, CEO of the Regional Chamber. "Bar's Products is a great new addition to the list of diverse businesses in Genesee County. Our economic development team identified and connected them to training and workforce services, government contracting opportunities and process improvement programs available through the Regional Chamber and its partners."
