Bentz Transport Products will completely shut down its operations Tuesday
Bentz Transport Products to Shutter Operations
, according to ExpeditersOnline. Bentz, which manufactures integrated sleepers, cab modifications and off-highway cabs, told ExpeditersOnline of its plans to close in a phone interview with President Keith Bentz.

As recently as late July, the company was exhibiting at the Expedite Expo. Earlier this year, it introduced integrated custom sleepers for the Freightliner Cascadia, in conjunction with Stoops Specialty Trucks in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Bentz Transport Products was established in January 1993 by Richard Bentz, and initially manufactured aftermarket sleeper cabs and stainless accessories for medium and heavy-duty trucks. Over the past decade, the company has expanded its offerings. In March 2001, Bentz's son, Keith, purchased the company, and has been running it with his wife Charla since.
