During a special two-hour edition of its "ATRI on the Air" Sirius XM radio show, the American Transportation Research Institute will address the impacts and issues surrounding truck-only lanes
. Issues on the agenda for the July 23 show include financial, geographic and political challenges.

The show will feature discussions on the I-70 truck-only lanes project, the only major study under way in the U.S. Keith Bucklew from the Indiana Department of Transportation will discuss the objectives and activities of the four-state I-70 TOL study, while Bob Brendel from the Missouri Department of Transportation will review the TOL study that Missouri recently completed.

The program will also cover topics including safety issues and impacts, truck productivity improvements, funding approaches and what facilities and amenities are needed to maximize truck driver usage.

The show will be hosted by Dan Murray, ATRI vice president, and Sirius XM trucking radio host Dave Nemo, whose show normally airs during this time slot. The program will take place July 23, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. central time.
