Transport America plans to hold its driver appreciation week during the last week of July.
The company will honor its drivers during the week with food, activities and visits with staff.

"Holding our Driver Appreciation week in the summer will allow for outdoor barbecues and ample time, in off-season, to thank our drivers for their contributions to our success," said Mikki Chadwick, human resources director at Transport America. "It's a great time for all of us to catch up with our drivers and express our thanks for their service to the company."

The company's driver managers and executives will visit nine of their busiest terminals or support centers to show their appreciation to their drivers. Each facility will host meals, give away prizes, and provide an open forum for drivers to communicate with management.
