Cardinal Logistics Management has established a new Transportation Management Division and has hired Todd Hoyt as general manager of transportation management services.

Hoyt has more than 18 years of experience in the industry, and this is his second stint at Cardinal, last serving as general manager in 2002. He most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Cowan Global Logistics and prior to that as director of business development and marketing for BNSF Logistics.

"Cardinal continues to develop its network and suite of services to meet customers' changing logistics needs," explained Mike Wells, senior vice president of Cardinal. "Our Transportation Management division will be instrumental in developing new business relationships and further establishing Cardinal as a leading provider of supply chain solutions."

A provider of third-party transportation management and dedicated delivery services, Cardinal provides delivery solutions for U.S. companies coast to coast, allowing deliveries in places where companies do not have sufficient density, activity or resources to justify having their own facilities, drivers and trucks.

"Cardinal has provided me the opportunity to re-establish a non-asset based component to complement our leading asset based operations," said Hoyt. "Our customers are asking for integrated supply chain solutions and I look forward to supporting the experienced sales and engineering group to design and implement solutions using components from our information technology group, customized transportation management division and value-added warehousing services."
