Capacity of Texas will soon see MaxxForce 7 engines in its terminal tractors, thanks to a recent partnership with Navistar Engine Group.
Navistar will supply these advanced V-8 turbodiesel engines, which are produced in Huntsville, Ala., beginning in the fall.

Capacity of Texas is the largest American-owned manufacturer of terminal tractors in North America, according to the company.

"Navistar is pleased that Capacity chose our technologically advanced MaxxForce 7 to power its industry leading terminal tractors," said Eric Tech, vice president and general manager of Navistar Engine Group. "The MaxxForce 7 will provide Capacity customers with the most powerful, durable and environmentally friendly engines available in the market."

Capacity's two new MaxxForce 7 models will meet EPA emissions standards. One model will be rated at 215 horsepower with 580 pounds-feet torque, while the other will feature 230 horsepower and 620 pounds-feet torque. The terminal tractors, which move freight in ports, rail yards, warehouse and distribution centers, will be made in Longview, Texas.

"With the MaxxForce engines, emissions compliance is transparent to our customers, but more importantly they offer our customers a durable and powerful platform to meet the demands placed on our equipment each day," said Phillip Ford, president of Capacity.
