The Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network has unveiled a new President's Recognition award, which will recognize distributors and suppliers who have made significant contributions.

"There is a long list of people who deserve recognition for their contributions to our predecessor associations," says CVSN President Ken Duval of Canadian Wheel Industries. CVSN was formed in 2005 through the merger of the Council of Fleet Specialists and the National Wheel and Rim Association.

"This year it is my honor to formally recognize two families that had a significant impact on CFS and NWRA," Duval says. "O.G. Phillips and son-in-law Larry Smith from Gooch Brake and Equipment Company, and Gene, Gary and Larry DiSano from Century Wheel & Rim dedicated a tremendous amount of their time and energy for the betterment of independent distributor associations."

The first President's Recognition Award will be given out at the CVSN 2008 Annual Business Forum Sept. 21-24 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colo.
