Bolt Express recently completed a 12,000-square-foot addition to its corporate headquarters in Toledo, Ohio.
The addition more than doubled the size of the expedited carrier's facility. The largest portion of the new addition includes a new state-of-the-art operations center, designed to optimize the dispatch process. Also included in the addition are individual offices and Sales Support call center.
"We literally could not fit one more person in the old building" says Ben Bauman, CEO & President. "With our future plans, it was imperative that we have space to continue to grow."
Bolt Express started in 2007 with 22 employees and has grown to more than 60 employees in less than a year and half.
The company has enjoyed a yearly average growth rate of 55 percent over the past five years,a nd has received repeat awards for the AlliancePro Company of the Year award for Highest Year-Over-Year Sales Growth.

Enlarging their headquarters will allow Bolt Express to move forward with their future plans to expand their business services. Recently they launched their new Truckload division servicing the United States, Canada & Mexico. The expansion also includes plans to facilitate the increase of their logistics operation.
The new addition will not only benefit Bolt Express employees but the owner operators too. The new addition allows Bolt to increase the size of the driver lounge & training facilities. Not only have they more than doubled the building, but also the truck parking facilities. Included with the increase in parking size will be electrical hook-ups for their contractors to utilize during the winter months when on the property. "Making our owner operators to feel at home when they are here at Bolt is important" says Mark Heiges, Recruiting Manager "for many of our contractor's, their truck is their home."
