Pittsburgh-based MHF Logistical Solutions announced it is aggressively going after non-hazardous and clean fill markets in areas of Massachusetts and New Jersey,
which have traditionally moved over the road to landfills and quarries within a 300-mile radius of the respective markets.
The company intends to secure these movements via the use of its bulk solid transloading capabilities at the company's Worcester, Mass., and North Bergen, N.J., locations.
These facilities are designed for the transloading of various bulk solid waste and clean material types from truck-to-rail, offering competitive alternatives to direct over-the-road trucking. This approach dramatically reduces economical and environmental impacts, by reducing the number of trucks on public highways supporting remediation projects. This approach also significantly reduces the amount of fuel required for these transportation projects.
