TMW Systems of Cleveland has released TruckMate 8.0, the trucking enterprise software package the company acquired with Maddocks Systems earlier this year.
The new version is an integrated operations,
dispatching and accounting software popular with LTL fleets. The new release adds more than 4,000 enhancements, including a streamlined user interface, enhanced LTL and cross-dock support, enhanced detention billing module, simplified report with nearly 100 new standard reports and support for TMW application including TMW Imaging, D2Link, the Dawg and Driver's Seat.
"TruckMate has been a wonderful surprise," said Dave Wangler, president and CEO of TMW Systems, noting it gives the company another solution for customers that might not fit TMW's FleetSuite product. TruckMate has been especially attractive to smaller carriers, he said, who "like the integrated financials." He said the company had sold almost as much TruckMate applications as they did TMW FleetSuite products this year.
TMW will change the way it releases upgrades to TruckMate in the future, Wangler, said, moving toward the "rolling release" used for TMW's software packages. With the rolling release, the company puts out several small upgrades each year. Customers can opt for any of these releases or none and not lose the functionality of their original product.
