ArvinMeritor Inc. said it has opened a new warehouse and distribution center in Monterrey, Mexico, to serve customers of its Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket (CVA) business.

The warehouse has doubled the capacity of the company's previous storage and distribution site in Escobedo, Mexico, which it replaces.
Joe Mejaly, vice president and general manager of CVA, said the 30,515-square-foot facility will include a 2,690-square-foot office area and will be outfitted with the latest inventory and material-handling equipment in both its shipping and receiving areas for improved customer service. When fully operational, the Monterrey location will handle a portfolio of 4,800 items distributed under the Meritor, Dirona and Sudisa brands.
ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket group offers replacement parts for the company's braking systems, drive axles, trailer axles and suspension products in North America and in Europe. Distributed under the Meritor brand, ArvinMeritor's aftermarket parts are precision engineered to original equipment specifications and carry the industry's best aftermarket support network.
