Alto Products has acquired a 100,000-square-foot building adjacent to its current manufacturing plant in Atmore, Ala., the clutch manufacturer announced.
Alto Products Announces Expansion

The new addition gives Alto 250,000 square feet with three buildings on approximately 25 acres.
Alto Products is one of the oldest and largest independently owned and operated clutch manufacturers in the world. Alto has manufactured more than a billion clutches over the last 50 years for automotive, heavy duty, high performance, marine and motorcycle applications.
David Landa, president of Alto Products, said, “This addition will allow us to segregate our tooling and engineering into one building, expand our manufacturing into our main plant, and have our distribution and packaging in the new facility all housed on a common campus.
“The main reason for the expansion is to handle the growing line of products and expand several areas of our existing manufacturing”, said Bob Hawkins, vice president of manufacturing. “The number of different parts we produce has almost doubled over the last five years and we are currently expanding new product lines in brake bands, gears, and laser cut parts.”
Corporate headquarters are located in Alabama and the company operates three U.S. manufacturing plants, four North American distribution facilities and international offices in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, UAE, India and China.
