Volvo Trucks customers affected by Hurricane Katrina can take advantage of a payment assistance program from Volvo Commercial Finance to skip payments until Jan. 1, 2006.

The program, called Hurricane Help, is available to Volvo Commercial Finance customers who reside in counties designated as Hurricane Katrina disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Customers in these counties who meet the program parameters have been automatically entered into this payment assistance program. The skipped payments will be added to the end of the contract without additional interest or penalty.
Any Volvo Commercial Finance customer affected by Hurricane Katrina should call (877) 865-8623, ext. 4026 for assistance. However, any customers who experienced a total equipment loss should contact their insurance company first.
“Our goal with this program is to give those affected by Hurricane Katrina one less thing to worry about while they recover from this disaster,” said Stephen Roy, vice president of sales for Volvo Commercial Finance.
