GeoLogic Solutions, Owings Mills, Md., announced that Sharkey Transportation Inc. will equip its entire fleet with the MobileMax Multi-Mode communications system
, a mobile communications and tracking system that combines satellite and terrestrial communications. Sharkey Transportation based in Quincy, Ill., runs reefers, dry vans, bulk tankers and flatbeds in 48 states. “We really put MobileMax to the test and they were by far the best fit for our company,” stated Jack Sharkey, president of Sharkey Transportation. Sharkey said the system would make life easier for drivers. “The drivers receive their next assignment and get directions without pulling into a truck stop to locate a telephone,” he said.
