Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC hosted two specialists from the Environmental Protection Agency during a recent tour of the company’s truck tire plant in Warren County, Tenn.

The event was part of Bridgestone Firestone’s partnership in the EPA SmartWay Transport program, a new long-term initiative to reduce emissions and increase trucking industry fuel efficiency.
Visiting the Warren plant were Anthony Erb, environmental scientist from the Office of Transportation & Air Quality and Cheryl Bynum, policy analyst from the Office of Transportation & Air Quality. Both work on EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership program. The tour was led by Greer Tidwell, director, environmental management for Bridgestone Firestone N.A., Guy Walenga, engineering manager, North American Commercial Products and Sean Fisher, senior environmental engineer for the Warren plant.
