Mack Trucks, Inc. Sunday announced that employees represented by the United Auto Workers have ratified a new three-year Master Agreement
covering about 2,500 people at Mack facilities in three states. The new contract is effective as of October 2, 2004, and will expire on October 1, 2007.
“With this agreement, Mack and the UAW have demonstrated their commitment to maintaining an effective working relationship and meeting the needs of our customers,” said Mack President and CEO Paul L. Vikner. “This agreement will help Mack’s competitive position and provide a foundation for our efforts to serve our customers and ensure success in the heavy-duty truck market in the future.”
The new contract covers members of UAW Locals #677 in Allentown, Macungie, and Middletown, PA; #171 and #1247 in Hagerstown, MD; #2301 in Baltimore, MD; and #472 in Atlanta, GA.
