Tailwind Management Systems Inc., Victoria, B.C., Canada, has completed development of two new, simplified versions of its Carrier Management System software
for truckload operations and freight brokerage companies.
The new versions, known as Carrier Express and Broker Express, have been designed to handle everyday basic transactions and can be expanded to incorporate additional applications as the business grows. The Express versions start at $1,495, and once a few sets of basic procedures have been learned, users can easily navigate any section of the program.
The Express versions complement the Elite version, a system that manages all aspects of a transport carrier's operations and administration. Functions of the Elite version include managing drivers, handling dispatch, customers, credit, vendors, invoicing, bill auditing, driver and vendor pay, accounts receivable/payable, scheduling equipment maintenance and expense tracking, location tracking, account and web site integration, and much more.
