Nation’s Express Selects PeopleNet

PeopleNet Communications Inc., Chaska, Minn., announced that Nation's Express Inc. has equipped its fleet with PeopleNet's tracking and mobile communications system.

Nation’s Express of Charlotte, N.C., operates 150 owner-operator trucks -- half of them straight trucks -- and provides air freight, expedited straight truck and ground truckload services.
PeopleNet provides real-time location of Nation's Express’ fleet so dispatch can match the best available equipment with the load. Dispatch instructions are provided over PeopleNet’s mobile communications system. Previously, owner-operators called in for dispatch instructions.
The PeopleNet system enhances order accuracy by feeding information directly into the corporate billing system and sending confirmation of pickup time and date automatically to each customer. Information is fed into the company's intranet so that customers can track loads on the Internet.
