In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Iowa 80 Truckstop has published a book chronicling the historic rest area since its opening in 1964.
The book is a full color coffee table book containing 71 pages of history, photos and stories from various friends and employees.
"This book is a tribute to my dad," says Delia Moon Meier. "He saw the potential for Iowa 80 back in 1963 when he scouted this property for Standard Oil. He was quite a visionary."
The book, titled "The Perfect Spot," will be available at this year's Walcott Truckers Jamboree, (Thursday, July 8 and Friday, July 9).
