Overnite Transportation Co., one of the nation's leading less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers, said it has reduced transit times from Louisiana to nearly 100 cities across America.

Impacting more than 90 major transit lanes, these improvements strengthen Overnite's service from its New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La., facilities.
Improved service standards from New Orleans reduce transit times to two days for the Midwest. Freight destined for the Northeast now moves in three days, and shipments to the Pacific Northwest and Las Vegas now take only four days.
Overnite's Baton Rouge facility also has extended its two-day reach into Georgia and South Carolina, and to major Michigan markets, including Cadillac and Saginaw.
