TMI and TripPak Services Acquired by ACS

Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, Texas, has acquired Truckload Management Services Inc., known as TMI.

TMI is best known for the TripPak EXPRESS and TripPak ONLINE document management services, as well as TMI-MultiMedia – a transportation industry advertising agency.
Other TMI services – Truckstop Scanning, RapidLog Log Auditing, TripPak EZApp and TripPak Overnight – will be part of the acquisition. TMI had revenues of approximately $25 million during the 12-month period ending Dec. 31, 2003. As part of the transaction, about 260 TMI employees based in Denver, Colo., Brentwood, Tenn. and Wilmington, Ohio will become employees of Affiliated Computer Services Inc., known as ACS – the ompany’s symbol on the New York Stock Exchange.
The purchase price of $28 million, excluding contingent consideration based upon future financial performance, was funded from ACS cash on hand.
