Penske Will Offer XATA Solution

XATA Corp., Minneapolis, Minn. announced that Penske Truck Leasing Co. L.P. will offer the XATANET web-based fleet management solution to lease customers throughout North America.

XATANET includes streamlined fuel tax reporting, DOT driver logs, vehicle location tracking, route mapping, vehicle diagnostics and alerts, two-way driver messaging, accident analysis and performance reporting.
Using satellite communications, XATANET enables fleet managers to manage their vehicles anywhere in North America. XATA uses the Orbcomm low-earth-orbit satellite system.
According to XATA, XATANET will be integrated into Penske's standard lease product offerings. Penske is currently concluding its own testing and programming. Formal announcement of Penske's complete offering will come shortly.
