Terion, a provider of trailer management systems, announced the release of FleetView 3.0 at this week’s ATA Management Conference and Exhibition, currently under way in San Antonio, Texas.

FleetView 3.0 will be released in the first quarter of 2004.
"Terion looks forward to deploying its next generation product and building on its successful deployment of over 70,000 current generation FleetView units," said President and CEO, Ken Cranston. "Adding the capabilities of state-of-the-art digital cellular technology to our proven trailer management application will provide our customers with the best technology, deliver the most value, and position Terion for continued market leadership."
FleetView 3.0 is a next generation digital dual-mode technology platform for trailer management. This new dual-mode device uses the digital cellular network for primary communications and automatically switches to analog service in any area where digital service is not yet available.
Digital cellular allows for less power consumption, better battery performance, and the more efficient delivery of data at higher transmission speeds.
FleetView 3.0 has also been designed to simply and easily install in many types of trailers. So whether a fleet is made up of refrigerated trailers, tankers, dry vans, flatbeds or domestic intermodal containers, Terion has a solution.
FleetView provides a comprehensive trailer fleet management system that allows transportation companies to maximize efficiencies associated with trailer fleet operations. Typical benefits associated with FleetView include an increase in trailer utilization and a reduced trailer-to-tractor ratio. Information is provided to the operator through the Internet from its patented hardware and software design. The design integrates GPS and cellular technology for comprehensive coverage throughout the United States and Canada. The system is concealed to provide a covert installation.
