The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) agreed to take over the hosting and maintenance of the Trucker Buddy web site, (www.truckerbuddy.org), effective immediately.

This service will enable drivers and teachers to sign up and renew on-line, while providing information and other services with this technology. The in-kind donation designates ATA as a Gold Level Sponsor, and a major contributor to the nonprofit organization.
"ATA is proud to support Trucker Buddy. It is a wonderful program and very popular with our members and their drivers," said Bill Graves, ATA president and CEO. "It does much to improve the image of our industry and the people who make it work. We hope our participation will lead to many more positive connections between our cabs and America’s classrooms."
Don Nehring, Trucker Buddy’s president of the board, and a former captain on ATA’s America’s Road Team, was pleased with the agreement, "This is an exciting time at Trucker Buddy International. We found ourselves in need of a host for our web site, and the ATA stepped up and filled this need." He added, "Governor Graves and his staff have again proven their commitment to Trucker Buddy, and we look forward to many years together. Our joint effort with the ATA will help us to bring Trucker Buddy to a new level."
Trucker Buddy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping educate and mentor the nation’s schoolchildren via a pen-pal relationship between professional truck drivers and children in grades 2-8. Trucker Buddy matches classes of students with professional truck drivers.
