OrderPro Logistics, Tucson, Ariz., has announced that its subsidiary, TransMex Logistics Inc., has introduced two new geographic service areas
at the El Paso and Nogales gateways for U.S./Mexican freight. TransMex, based in McCook, Ill., is a third-party logistics specialist in Mexican transportation with offices in Laredo, Texas and Mexico City.
According to OrderPro, TransMex has arranged with major inter-modal partners to offer drayage between rail intermodal facilities at El Paso, Phoenix and the soon-to-open, Tucson ramps.
These services will complement the company’s Laredo-based operation.
Future expansion plans include opening of the San Diego and Calexico gateways where service would be offered between all of the Southern California intermodal rail ramps and Northern Baja California
“We have been able to offer limited service over El Paso and Nogales in the past, but with the finalization of recent contract negotiations, we are now able to offer drayage of intermodal rail equipment to and from all major Mexican cities in the states of Sinaloa, Sonora, and Chihuahua,” said Donna Ascencio, vice president of sales and marketing for TransMex.
